Robert J. Strock,
Founder of Awareness That Heals
Awareness That Heals was created by Robert J. Strock, a psychotherapist, teacher, and author whose work over more than five decades has helped people navigate life’s greatest challenges. It grew out of a lifelong exploration of psychology and spirituality, and a sincere search for ways they might more fully complement one another in helping us live with greater wisdom and compassion.
Rather than looking to our feelings as our primary sense of self, Awareness That Heals invites us to understand them as important signals that can help us discover our deeper needs and progressively learn to find and follow our own deepest wisdom. This approach has the potential to deepen self-awareness, honesty, relationships, purpose, and our capacity to contribute to the broader world.
Over his career, Robert felt called to extend the principles that guided his work with individuals into organizations and foundations, believing that, at their core, the challenges are fundamentally the same. Robert founded the Center for Authentic Living, and has served as President of the Global Bridge Foundation for more than 27 years. Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals, business leaders, caregivers, and organizations to apply these principles in ways that foster greater understanding, compassion, and meaningful change.
“The heart of Awareness that Heals is to cultivate a deepening kindness toward our emotional and practical challenges whenever we are facing these issues. As awareness deepens, our wisdom is what can best guide us whenever we respond to life’s difficulties.” —Robert J. Strock.
